Well, actually I’ve had it for 2 days now. I’m doing an overnight (9pm-7am) grocery reset four days a week for the next three weeks. Then I have the option to join in on the next location (it’s a temp job). Basically, we un-stock shelves, move the product to a different aisle, and then restock it. So far, I’ve been told I’m one of the best temporary employees they’ve had in a long time by a lot of the full time employees, so I’d say I’m doing well. Only bad thing - you’d think I’d be super tired after a 10 hour shift of physical labor, but I get home and am still full of energy.
Also, I’ve continued down the path of joining the vape-nation (not really, those guys are morons), and here is a picture of my ‘rig’.
I’ve found nicotine is actually a very helpful stimulant if you use it in moderation. I know that addicts always say they can quit whenever they want, but it’s actually true for me. I’ve found that I actually can’t get addicted to substances very easily. I just wish there wasn’t such a social stigma attached to it due to the vape-nation assholes. I treat it like cigarettes - if I can’t smoke in a store or a restaurant, I won’t vape either (though I do sneak in a few stealth puffs if I’m in a restroom) other people don’t want to breathe it, even if it is ‘just water vapor’.
Sorry for this rambling post, but I'm just sitting here relaxing after work and am very bored.

If I hadn’t quit smoking I’d definitely be vaping now over traditional cigarettes.

I’ve done that before. Had a great supervisor (long paid lunch, added time even though we finished ahead of schedule) but the store employees and managers were the worst part.
It's a nice quick buck, but I could see it being a pain with an asshole supervisor.

My supervisor is super nice. She actually *helps* if we need an extra hand. And we get an hour paid lunch, which at 2am means grabbing a slightly stale deli sandwich and a water.

Good on you for quitting. It’s a gross, self-harming (and second hand harming) addiction. If you ever find yourself interested in vaping, you do have the option of nicotine free juice. Then it’s all about the flavor and the clouds.

Mine wasn’t hands on, but he was on top of getting all the supplies, dealing with employees and letting us do our work which was fine by me.

Nah, what’s the point without the nicotine? That’s like decaf coffee or non-alcoholic beer.
